Workflows in SharePoint Designer not showing

Hi,

When my colleague uses sharepoint designer and opens a sharepoint site he can see all the files and the workflows but when I do it can't see the workflows. Even if I use his credentials on my machine I can't see them. I am new to this so is there a setting somewhere that displays/hides workflows?

Had to ask my manager to add me to the site  collection administrator list.

Hi ,

try to create new workflow and see where it is going.

it is good if you are admin of the site  collection.

What permission does your colleague  have?

 

Open the site  with site administrator in SPD, navigate to the workflows  folder, right click it, then select properties, click security, then click manage permissions using the browser, make sure your workflow inherit permission from its parent. If not, inherit permission from its parent. Then add yourself design permission on the parent site, check the effect.
